Just 8km north of Augusta on Caves Road is one of the most decorated caves in the world. Augusta Jewel Cave's magnificent formations and lofty chambers are a sight to be seen. The cave features the longest straw stalactite in any tour cave.

The Blackwood River provides a safe resting place for many species of water birds including the tiny red necked stints and the majestic white pelicans. In Spring the banks of the river are ablaze with dazzling wildflowers and a  river cruise is an ideal way to experience the beauty of the river.

The historic Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse at Augusta is situated at the tip of a dramatic peninsula where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet - The most south westerly point of Australia. The landmark is one of the most popular and spectacular tourist attractions in the area. Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse opened in 1896 and it still serves as one of the world's most important navigational and weather facilities.
